On October 15, 2025, Samsung Welstory hosted the Pasta Holic Party at Matches Seongsu, one of the capital’s premier dining venues. The event marked the launch of thirteen new ingredients imported through Welstory’s global sourcing program. The experiential format was designed to directly connect international producers with key players in the Korean food service industry, including chefs, buyers, restaurant groups, and influencers.

The Pasta Holic Party is part of the Small Food Show, a series launched by Samsung Welstory to introduce clients to the most relevant global innovations in ingredients.
Matches Seongsu, located in the creative district of Seongsu-dong, provided the ideal backdrop. The program combined live cooking demonstrations, tastings, and wine pairings, framing the evening as a narrative on the value of culinary exchange. Around fifty guests attended, including restaurant chain representatives, executive chefs, and institutional figures. Among them was Fernando Guelli, Italian Trade Commissioner in Korea, whose presence underscored the strengthening dialogue between Italy and Korea and a shared focus on innovation and quality.

The evening’s spotlight was on Vitto, the brand distributed by Atlante, making its official debut in South Korea with pasta crafted from 100% Italian durum wheat semolina.

The evening’s gastronomic experience was curated by Lee Seung-jun, Executive Chef at Matches Seongsu and a former member of the French Presidential culinary team. With a refined, contemporary style, Chef Lee reinterpreted Vitto pasta through a creative lens, bridging Mediterranean traditions with Korean sensibilities. Signature dishes included crispy spaghetti arancini, steamed spaghetti with seafood, and a pepper steak served with olive oil and jalapeño. The dishes remained on the restaurant’s menu for several weeks, offering guests a tangible experience of Italian authenticity.
Looking Ahead Participation in the Pasta Holic Party confirms Atlante’s continued expansion across Asia, strengthening its position alongside strategic markets like Japan and Southeast Asia.
