NewsPartnering with Aldi to Develop Its Specially Selected Italian Pasta Range
Premium private label relies on provenance, craftsmanship and consistency. Atlante’s collaboration with Aldi UK brings those elements together through selected products within the Specially Selected Italian pasta range.
Working closely with Aldi, we’ve supported the development of products that reflect traditional Italian pasta-making while meeting the expectations of a modern UK shopper.
About Aldi
Aldi is one of the UK’s fastest-growing supermarket retailers, serving millions of customers every week across more than 1,000 stores. Its offer is guided by a clear promise: the best possible quality at the best possible price, underpinned by the values of consistency, simplicity and responsibility. Aldi now holds over 10% of UK grocery market share.
What we have done together
Atlante supports Aldi with two Specially Selected pasta lines: rigatoni and bucatini.
Both products are made by Liguori, one of Italy’s most historic pasta producers, based in Gragnano — the recognised home of PGI-certified pasta.
Production features include:
- PGI-certified origin
- Bronze-die extrusion
- Slow, low-temperature drying
The Specially Selected rigatoni was awarded a Great Taste Award in 2025, recognising its quality and taste, and reinforcing Aldi’s focus on delivering premium products at outstanding value.
How we delivered the project
Commercial
Product positioning, pricing structure and category fit were developed with Aldi’s buying team.
Quality & Technical
We worked directly with Liguori to meet Aldi’s technical standards and PGI certification requirements.
Supply Chain
Forecasting, production planning and logistics between Italy and the UK were coordinated to ensure consistent availability.
This structured approach supported a smooth launch into Aldi’s premium private label range.
Looking ahead
Our collaboration with Aldi demonstrates Atlante’s ability to support premium private label development rooted in provenance and technical expertise. We look forward to continuing to support Aldi’s Italian food categories.
