Role Purpose
You will join the Technical Team with an initial focus on the Export Quality Department. The role aims to support the team in maintaining high quality standards for both the company and its clients, contributing to New Product Development (NPD) launches and ensuring robust due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Documentation: Draft and manage technical specifications, product sheets, and supporting technical documentation.
- Portal Management: Operate internal and client portals (Retailer systems) for technical specifications, complaints, and data sheets.
- KPI Management: Ensure adherence to company KPIs, including specification updates, product/supplier approval workflows, audit schedules, and closure of non-conformities.
- Product Approval: Verify product compliance against market quality expectations, safety parameters, and authenticity standards.
- Labeling & Artwork: Support the artwork approval process by providing mandatory information (ingredients, nutritional values) and verifying legal compliance of the graphic layout. Participate in the development and review of product labels.
- Quality Issues: Manage customer complaints and non-conformities efficiently.
- Field Support: Assist in supplier audits and client visits.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Education: Degree in Food Technology or a related discipline.
- Standards: Basic knowledge of BRC Food and IFS Food standards; in-depth knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety principles.
- Legislation: Familiarity with Italian, European, and UK food legislation.
- Technical Know-how: Understanding of food production processes, ingredient functionality, and formulation dynamics.
- Retail Experience: Previous experience with Italian or international Retailer portals is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Private Label management and commercial dynamics.
- IT Skills: Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability topics is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent English is mandatory.
